Review on the research advances of the Tibetan Plateau shear line in the last decade

  • 摘要: 高原切变线是影响青藏高原及其下游地区重要的降水天气系统,也是高原气象学研究的重点和热点。本文回顾了近10 a高原切变线的研究进展,包括高原切变线的时空分布及其与暴雨的关系、高原切变线的结构特征及演变机制、高原切变线与高原低涡的相互作用等。在此基础上,对未来高原切变线研究的主要方面进行了展望,以期加深对高原切变线的认识,为青藏高原及其下游地区灾害性天气研究和预报预警提供参考依据。

     

    Abstract: The Tibetan Plateau shear line (TPSL) is an important precipitation-inducing synoptic system over the Tibetan Plateau and its downstream areas, and also a significant part of Tibetan Plateau meteorology. This paper reviews the research advances of TPSL in the last decade, including the spatiotemporal distribution of the TPSL and its relationship with heavy rainfall, the TPSL's structure characteristics and evolution mechanism, the interaction between the TPSL and the Tibetan Plateau vortex, etc. On this basis, the main aspects of TPSL research in the future are prospected in order to deepen the understanding of TPSL and provide reference for scientific research as well as forecasting and warning of disastrous weather over the Tibetan Plateau and its downstream areas.
